A refreshing and fruity White Wine Sangria featuring strawberries, peaches, and oranges mixed with semi-dry Riesling, orange liqueur, and fizzy lemon lime soda. Perfect for summer gatherings or casual entertaining, this sangria offers a balanced sweetness with a hint of citrus and fresh herbs for garnish.

  • Total Time: 1 hour 15 minutes
  • Yield: 6 servings

Ingredients

Fruit

  • 1 cup sliced strawberries
  • 1 cup chopped peaches
  • 1 cup sliced orange halves

Liquids & Sweeteners

  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup Triple Sec or other orange liqueur
  • 750 ml Riesling (or other semi dry white wine)
  • 2 cups lemon lime soda

Instructions

  1. Prepare the fruit: Add the sliced strawberries, chopped peaches, and orange halves to a large pitcher. Sprinkle the granulated sugar over the fruit and use a wooden spoon to stir and gently muddle the mixture until the sugar begins to dissolve and melds with the fruit juices.
  2. Add the alcohol: Pour in the ¼ cup of Triple Sec and the 750 ml of Riesling or your chosen semi-dry white wine. Stir well to combine all the flavors thoroughly.
  3. Chill the sangria: Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or for best results, overnight. This resting time allows the fruit flavors to infuse the wine perfectly.
  4. Serve and garnish: Just before serving, add 2 cups of cold lemon lime soda to the sangria in the pitcher, or pour the sangria into glasses and top each glass with the soda. Garnish with fresh basil or mint sprigs for a refreshing aromatic touch.

Notes

  • For a stronger orange flavor, substitute lemon lime soda with club soda and add extra orange liqueur.
  • Adjust sweetness by varying the amount of sugar or using a sweeter wine if desired.
  • Letting the sangria rest overnight enhances the fruit infusion and flavor complexity.
  • Fresh herbs like basil or mint add a refreshing contrast but can be omitted if preferred.
