Ingredients
Dates
- 15-20 Medjool Dates
Crackers
- 20-25 Simple Mills Sweet Thins or Graham Crackers, plus an additional 4-5 crushed Sweet Thins for topping
Other Ingredients
- ½ Cup Marshmallow Fluff
- ½ Cup Melted Chocolate (such as semi-sweet or milk chocolate)
- Flaky sea salt, for finishing
Instructions
- Prepare the dates: Pull open the Medjool dates and carefully remove the pits to create space for the filling.
- Smash the dates: Place the pitted dates on parchment paper laid over a baking sheet. Using the bottom of a mug, smash each date flat to create a base layer for your s’mores.
- Add marshmallow fluff: Spoon a small amount of marshmallow fluff onto each flattened date to add creamy sweetness.
- Top with crackers: Place one or two Simple Mills Sweet Thins or graham crackers on top of the marshmallow layer to add crunchy texture.
- Melt the chocolate: Melt the chocolate in the microwave in short increments (about 15-20 seconds), stirring between each session until smooth.
- Drizzle with chocolate: Drizzle the melted chocolate over the cracker-topped dates for a rich and glossy finish.
- Finish with salt and crushed crackers: Sprinkle flaky sea salt and a dusting of crushed Sweet Thins on top for extra crunch and a perfect balance of sweet and salty flavors.
- Set in the freezer: Place the assembled s’mores in the freezer for about 15 minutes to let the chocolate and marshmallow set firmly before serving.
Notes
- Use Medjool dates for their natural sweetness and soft texture, which makes them ideal for smashing and filling.
- If you don’t have Simple Mills Sweet Thins, graham crackers are a great substitute.
- For a dairy-free option, use dairy-free marshmallow fluff and chocolate.
- Keep s’mores stored in the freezer or fridge if not consumed immediately to maintain firmness.
- This recipe is perfect for a quick no-bake dessert or a healthier twist on traditional s’mores.
