  • Total Time: 40 minutes
  • Yield: 12 servings

Ingredients

Fruit Layer

  • 2 (21 ounce) cans strawberry pie filling

Cheesecake Filling

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar

Cake Layer

  • 16 ounce box yellow cake mix
  • 12 Tablespoons salted butter, melted

For Serving (Optional)

  • Fresh strawberries
  • Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare Pan: Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease the bottom of a 9×13-inch pan to prevent sticking.
  2. Add Strawberry Layer: Pour the two cans of strawberry pie filling evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking pan.
  3. Make Cheesecake Filling: In a medium bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, egg, and granulated sugar until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Dollop spoonfuls of this cheesecake mixture evenly on top of the strawberry filling.
  4. Add Cake Mix: Dump the entire box of yellow cake mix evenly over the fruit and cheesecake layer, ensuring full coverage.
  5. Pour Butter: Drizzle the melted salted butter evenly over the top of the cake mix layer. Optionally, sprinkle nuts on top for added texture and flavor.
  6. Bake: Bake the cake in the preheated oven for 35 to 45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbly along the edges.
  7. Cool and Serve: Remove the cake from the oven and allow it to cool and set for 15 minutes before serving. Serve with fresh strawberries, vanilla ice cream, or whipped cream if desired.
  8. Optional Feedback: After enjoying your cake, leave a comment and rating to share your experience.

Notes

  • Make it your own: Substitute strawberry pie filling with cherry, blueberry, or peach for delicious variations.
