Ingredients
Tapioca Pearls
- ½ cup small tapioca pearls
- 16 oz hot water
- 4 cups water (for boiling)
Tea and Milk Mixture
- 1 teaspoon black tea leaves
- ½ cup milk
- ½ teaspoon rose water syrup
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar (adjust to taste)
- Ice cubes (optional, for chilled version)
Instructions
- Soak Tapioca Pearls: Place the tapioca pearls in cold water and let them soak for 30 minutes. After soaking, drain the water.
- Cook Tapioca Pearls: Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in a medium pot. Remove the pot from heat, then add the soaked tapioca pearls while stirring constantly for 1 minute to prevent sticking. Drain the pearls and rinse thoroughly under cold water to stop the cooking process and cool them down.
- Brew Tea: Place the black tea leaves into a large cup or teapot and pour the 16 oz of hot water over them. Allow the tea to steep or bloom for 10 minutes to extract full flavor.
- Prepare Rose Milk Tea Mixture: After the tea has brewed, add the milk, rose water syrup, and brown sugar to the tea. Stir well until the sugar dissolves completely. Adjust sweetness by adding more sugar if desired.
- Assemble the Drink: Divide the cooked tapioca pearls evenly into two serving cups. Pour the rose milk tea mixture over the pearls. Serve with ice cubes if you prefer a chilled version or enjoy warm.
