This Ninja Creami Vanilla Soft Serve recipe offers a creamy, low-fat vanilla ice cream alternative that’s easy to prepare at home using low fat milk and a simple blend-and-freeze technique. Perfect for a single serving, this light soft serve is enhanced with vanilla pudding mix for extra flavor and smooth texture, and can be customized with optional sprinkles.

  • Total Time: 24 hours 10 minutes
  • Yield: 1 serving

Ingredients

Base Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups low fat milk
  • 2 tablespoons half and half
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla instant pudding mix
  • 1 teaspoon white granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For Re-Spin

  • 1-2 tablespoons liquid (half and half or milk)

Optional Mix-Ins

  • 2 tablespoons sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Mix Base in Pint Container: Combine low fat milk, half and half, vanilla instant pudding mix, sugar, and vanilla extract thoroughly in the Ninja Creami pint container. Using a milk frother is recommended for a smooth mix, but a whisk or fork can also be used.
  2. Freeze: Place the filled pint container in the freezer on a level surface for 24 hours without the lid to ensure the mixture is completely solid and to prevent a peak formation.
  3. Prep for Blending: Remove the frozen pint from the freezer. If there is a peak of ice cream in the center, scrape it off with a spoon for consistent blending.
  4. Blend: Insert the pint container into the Ninja Creami outer bowl, secure the lid, and lock it in position. Use the ‘Lite Ice-Cream’ setting to blend the mixture into a soft serve consistency.
  5. Add Liquid and Re-Spin: Create a small well in the center of the ice cream, pour in 1-2 tablespoons of half and half or milk, and re-spin on the same ‘Lite Ice-Cream’ setting to improve creaminess.
  6. Optional Mix-Ins: If desired, dig a well in the center again and add sprinkles or other mix-ins. Blend on the ‘Mix-Ins’ setting to evenly distribute the additions.
  7. Enjoy: After the final spin, your soft serve will be thick, creamy, and ready to savor!

Notes

  • Freezing on a level surface without the lid prevents ice cream peaks.
  • Using a milk frother for mixing helps achieve a smoother base.
  • Adjust liquid for re-spin as needed for desired softness.
  • Optional sprinkles add color and texture but can be omitted for a classic vanilla flavor.
  • This recipe is perfectly portioned for one serving.
