Ingredients
Beetroot
- 1 cup beet, raw and chopped (1 large beet, chopped)
Fruits
- 1/2 cup green grapes
- 1/4 cup orange, peeled (half of a medium orange)
Others
- 2 tbsp ginger root, chopped (1-inch knob of ginger root)
- 1/3 cup water (for blending)
Instructions
- Prepare Beets: Chop off the beet greens, rinse the beets well to remove any dirt, and peel off the outer skin using a paring knife or potato peeler. Then chop into small pieces to make 1 cup.
- Blanch Beets: Drop the chopped beets into boiling water for 2 minutes to soften slightly, then immediately transfer them into a bowl of cold water to stop cooking and retain color.
- Prepare Other Ingredients: Wash the green grapes thoroughly, peel the orange, and wash and chop the ginger root into small pieces.
- Juicing Method: Add all prepared ingredients into a juicer and process until smooth. Collect the juice directly.
- Blender Method: Add the prepared beets, grapes, orange, ginger, and 1/3 cup water into a blender jar. Blend until smooth. Pour the blended mixture through a fine mesh strainer and press the pulp with the back of a spoon to extract all juice.
- Serve: Drink the fresh beet juice immediately over ice or store it in the refrigerator. For long-term storage, freeze in ice cube trays.
Notes
- Blanching the beets briefly helps soften them and enhances juice extraction.
- If using a blender, adjust water quantity for easier blending but avoid diluting flavor too much.
- Fresh juice is best consumed immediately to retain maximum nutrients.
- You can add ice while serving for a chilled beverage.
- Store leftover juice in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.
