Ingredients
Noodles
- 1 pound linguine or yakisoba noodles, cooked al dente
Vegetables and Aromatics
- 3 cups vegetables: zucchini cut into matchsticks, broccoli florets cut small, white mushrooms sliced
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger paste or chopped ginger
Sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons teriyaki sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Garnish
- 1 tablespoon Kikkoman® Sesame Oil
- 2-3 green onions or scallions, finely chopped
Instructions
- Cook the Noodles: Cook the linguine or yakisoba noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside to prepare the rest of the dish.
- Sauté the Vegetables: Heat a large wok over medium-high heat and melt the butter. Add the zucchini, broccoli, and mushrooms, sautéing for 2-3 minutes until the mushrooms and zucchini become tender but still crisp.
- Add Aromatics: Stir in the minced garlic and ginger paste, sautéing for about one minute until fragrant, which enhances the flavor of the vegetables.
- Toss in Noodles: Add the cooked noodles to the wok, stirring and tossing to combine thoroughly with the vegetables and aromatics.
- Add Sauce Ingredients: Sprinkle the brown sugar over the noodles, then add soy sauce and teriyaki sauce. Toss everything together to evenly coat the noodles and vegetables in the savory-sweet sauce.
- Season to Taste: Taste the noodles and season with salt and pepper as needed for balanced flavor.
- Finish and Garnish: Remove the wok from heat. Drizzle the sesame oil over the noodles, add the chopped green onions or scallions, and toss gently to mix all ingredients. Serve hot and enjoy your Hibachi Noodles.
Notes
- For best flavor, use fresh ginger instead of paste when available.
- You may substitute linguine with yakisoba noodles for a more authentic texture.
- Add protein such as chicken, shrimp, or tofu to make it a complete meal.
- Adjust the amount of soy and teriyaki sauce to your preference for saltiness and sweetness.
- If you prefer softer vegetables, sauté for an additional 1-2 minutes.
