This comforting Golden Milk recipe is a warm and soothing drink made with coconut milk infused with turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, and other aromatic spices. Perfect for a cozy evening or a wellness boost, it combines anti-inflammatory ingredients with natural sweetness for a delicious, calming beverage.

  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Yield: 2 servings

Ingredients

Golden Milk Ingredients

  • 2 cups O Organics coconut milk
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • Pinch black pepper
  • Pinch freshly ground nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup (or honey) (or to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For Garnish

  • Ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: In a large saucepan over medium heat, combine coconut milk, ground turmeric, cinnamon stick, ground ginger, black pepper, freshly ground nutmeg, coconut oil, and maple syrup. Stir to mix evenly.
  2. Heat and Simmer: Bring the mixture to a low boil, then reduce the heat to low. Cover and let it simmer gently for 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld and develop fully.
  3. Strain and Flavor: Strain the hot liquid through a fine-mesh sieve to remove the solid spices, discarding them. Stir in the vanilla extract, then taste and adjust sweetness by adding more maple syrup if desired.
  4. Serve: Pour the golden milk into cups and garnish with a sprinkle of ground cinnamon. Enjoy warm for a relaxing and healthful drink.

Notes

  • You can substitute honey for maple syrup if preferred or adjust sweetness to taste.
  • Use fresh ground spices for the best flavor and health benefits.
  • For a creamier texture, use full-fat coconut milk.
  • The pinch of black pepper helps increase the absorption of curcumin from turmeric.
  • This drink can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days and reheated gently before serving.
