Ingredients
Jalapeno Sauce Ingredients
- 1/3 cup canned jalapenos
- 3 tablespoons jalapeno brine from jar
- 3/4 cup dairy free mayo
- 1 teaspoon hot sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 2 teaspoons dried dill
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- 3 teaspoons dried chives
- 1.5 teaspoons sugar
- 10 oz non-dairy sour cream
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Blend mayo and sour cream: In a blender, combine the non-dairy sour cream, dairy-free mayo, jalapeno brine, garlic powder, onion powder, sugar, and a pinch of salt and pepper. This forms the creamy base of the sauce.
- Blend until smooth: Blend the mixture until it reaches a smooth and creamy consistency with no lumps.
- Add remaining ingredients: Add the canned jalapenos, dried parsley, dried dill, dried chives, and hot sauce into the blender.
- Pulse to combine: Pulse the blender a few times until all the ingredients are well combined but the jalapenos retain some texture for a balanced sauce.
Notes
- Adjust the amount of jalapenos and hot sauce to control the heat level to your preference.
- This sauce pairs excellently with grilled vegetables, sandwiches, tacos, or as a dip for chips.
- Store leftover sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
- If you prefer a smoother texture, blend longer until completely uniform.
