Ingredients
Ingredients
- 6 small tortillas (corn or flour)
- Olive oil cooking spray
- Coarse salt, to taste
Instructions
- Slice the tortillas: Cut each tortilla into 6 to 8 equal pieces, similar to slicing a pizza, to form chip-sized portions.
- Prepare the chips: Lightly spray the tortilla pieces with olive oil cooking spray and sprinkle coarse salt over them evenly. Arrange the chips in a single layer inside the air fryer basket, ensuring they do not overlap for even cooking.
- Air fry the chips: Cook at 350°F (175°C) for 3 minutes. Then open the basket, carefully flip each chip, spray again with olive oil, add additional salt if desired, and cook for another 2 to 3 minutes until the chips are golden brown and crisp.
- Cool and serve: Remove the chips from the basket and allow them to cool on a plate to finish crisping before serving.
Notes
- Use either corn or flour tortillas depending on your preference; corn tortillas provide a more traditional chip flavor.
- Be careful not to overcrowd the air fryer basket to ensure even crisping of all chips.
- Adjust the salt amount to your taste; you can also experiment with other seasonings like chili powder or garlic powder for variety.
- Letting the chips cool after cooking helps them become crispier.
