Ingredients
Fruits
- 3 cups sliced peaches
- 2 cups raspberries
Liquids
- 750 mL Pinot Grigio wine
- 1 cup simple syrup
- 1 cup peach schnapps
- 750 mL champagne
Instructions
- Prepare the fruit: Add the sliced peaches and raspberries to a large pitcher, ensuring the fruit is evenly distributed to infuse the sangria with natural flavors.
- Combine the liquids: Pour in the Pinot Grigio wine, simple syrup, and peach schnapps into the pitcher with the fruit. Stir gently to blend all the ingredients well.
- Chill the sangria: Place the pitcher in the refrigerator and chill for at least 1 hour or up to overnight. This allows the flavors to meld together beautifully.
- Serve with champagne: When ready to serve, add some of the soaked fruit into a wine glass. Fill the glass halfway with the chilled sangria mixture, then top off the rest of the glass with champagne for a sparkling finish. Serve immediately.
Notes
- Simple syrup is made by dissolving equal parts sugar and water over low heat until clear and cooling before use.
- For a non-alcoholic version, substitute the wine, schnapps, and champagne with sparkling white grape juice and peach-flavored syrup.
- Adjust sweetness by varying the amount of simple syrup to taste.
- Use fresh ripe peaches and berries for the best flavor.
