Ingredients
2 pounds (910 g) shrimp, preferably small
1 (16-ounce/455 g) box macaroni noodles, cooked according to package instructions
6 hard-boiled eggs, roughly chopped
3 tablespoons sweet pickle relish
1 cup (100 g) diced celery
1 cup (240 ml) mayonnaise
2 tablespoons mustard
2 teaspoons celery salt
Instructions
- Peel, wash, and devein the shrimp, removing the tails.
- In a saucepan, bring 3 cups (720 ml) of water to a boil. Add shrimp and cook until pink and opaque, about 2–4 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine macaroni, shrimp, eggs, relish, and celery.
- Stir in mayonnaise, mustard, and celery salt until evenly mixed.
- Serve immediately for a warm salad, or refrigerate and serve chilled.
Notes
- Add chopped red onions or bell peppers for crunch and color.
- Swap mayonnaise with Greek yogurt for a lighter version.
- Use dill pickles instead of sweet relish for a tangier taste.
- Add Old Bay seasoning or paprika for extra flavor.
- Substitute shrimp with crabmeat or chicken for variety.
