Ingredients
Noodles
- 6 oz. Asian noodles (soba, rice noodles, or ramen without flavor packet)
Sauce
- 2 tbsp. pure sesame oil
- 1 1/2 tbsp. peanut butter
- 2 tbsp. honey
- 2 tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 1/2 tbsp. rice vinegar
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- ½ tsp. grated fresh ginger root
Optional Garnish
- 3 sliced green onions
- 1 1/2 tsp. sesame seeds
Instructions
- Cook Noodles: Cook and drain the noodles according to the package directions, ensuring they are tender but not mushy.
- Prepare Sauce: In a medium bowl, combine the sesame oil, peanut butter, honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, minced garlic, and grated fresh ginger. Whisk until the peanut butter is completely broken down and the sauce is smooth and well blended.
- Combine Sauce and Noodles: While the noodles are still hot, pour the prepared sauce over them and toss thoroughly to ensure every strand is coated with the flavorful sauce.
- Garnish and Serve: Optionally, top each serving with sliced green onions and sesame seeds for added crunch and visual appeal. Serve immediately.
Notes
- Use any Asian noodles you prefer; soba, rice noodles, or ramen without flavor packets work well.
- Adjust the honey quantity to suit your preferred level of sweetness.
- For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes or a dash of chili oil.
- This dish is best served immediately to enjoy the noodles at their freshest texture.
