4.2 from 1 review

A soothing and aromatic Rooibos Rose Tea Latte made with naturally caffeine-free rooibos tea, infused with delicate rose water, warming vanilla, and sweetened with maple syrup or honey. This comforting plant-based latte is perfect for a cozy moment and features a creamy texture from your choice of nut milk, garnished with a hint of cinnamon.

  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Yield: 1 serving

Ingredients

Tea Base

  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 Rooibos tea bag

Flavorings

  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1-2 tsp maple syrup or honey (or to taste)
  • 2 tsp rose water

Milk and Garnish

  • 1/2 cup plant-based milk (any milk of your choice; cashew or almond recommended)
  • Cinnamon (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Boil Water: In a small pot, bring 1 cup of water to a rolling boil over medium-high heat.
  2. Steep Tea: Remove the pot from heat, add the Rooibos tea bag, and steep for 5-7 minutes to extract the rich, naturally sweet flavors.
  3. Add Flavorings: Remove the tea bag, then stir in the vanilla extract, maple syrup or honey, rose water, and plant-based milk until well combined.
  4. Heat Latte: Return the pot to the stove and bring the mixture back to a gentle boil; allow it to cook for 1-2 minutes, then remove from heat.
  5. Froth Latte: Using a handheld frother, froth the latte directly in the pot for a few seconds to create a creamy, foamy texture.
  6. Serve and Garnish: Pour the frothy latte into a mug, optionally dust with cinnamon for an extra warm aroma, and enjoy immediately.

Notes

  • Adjust sweetness with more or less maple syrup or honey according to your taste preference.
  • Plant-based milk options such as cashew or almond milk provide a creamy and mild flavor, but feel free to use oat, soy, or any milk alternative.
  • Rose water is potent, so use sparingly to avoid overpowering the delicate rooibos flavor.
  • This latte is naturally caffeine-free, making it a great evening beverage.
  • If you do not have a frother, you can whisk vigorously to create some foam, though it may not be as creamy.
