Ingredients
4 cups water
4 black tea bags
1 fresh orange (juice and zest)
2 fresh rosemary sprigs, thinly sliced
1-inch piece fresh ginger, sliced
3–4 tbsp sugar (adjust to taste)
Ice cubes, for serving
Orange slices and rosemary sprigs, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in a medium pot.
- Remove from heat and add tea bags, rosemary, orange zest, and ginger slices.
- Steep for 5–7 minutes, then remove tea bags.
- Stir in sugar while warm, then let cool slightly.
- Strain out rosemary, zest, and ginger.
- Stir in freshly squeezed orange juice.
- Cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until chilled.
- Serve over ice with optional orange slices and rosemary sprigs as garnish.
Notes
- Steep no longer than 7 minutes to prevent bitterness.
- Adjust rosemary to preference—less for mild, more for bold flavor.
- Freshly squeezed orange juice gives the brightest flavor.
- Best served chilled within 3 days of making.
