Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, salt, and pepper.
- Add softened butter and mix until crumbly.
- Stir in Dijon mustard and grated Comté cheese.
- Beat the egg and add it to the mixture, stirring until dough forms.
- Roll dough on a floured surface to about 1/2-inch thickness.
- Cut out biscuits with a round cutter and place on prepared baking sheet.
- Sprinkle sesame or poppy seeds on top, if using.
- Bake for 15–18 minutes, until golden brown and firm.
- Cool slightly before serving.
