Ingredients
¾ cup fresh lemon juice (from about 5–6 lemons)
¾ cup sugar (or honey/agave as substitute)
1 cup blueberries (fresh or frozen)
1 cup hot water
4 cups cold water
Ice, for serving
Instructions
- In a blender, combine lemon juice, sugar, blueberries, and hot water. Blend until smooth and sugar is dissolved.
- Pour mixture into a pitcher. For a smoother drink, strain through a fine-mesh sieve.
- Stir in cold water until well mixed.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour for best flavor.
- Serve over ice with lemon slices or extra blueberries as garnish.
Notes
- For a pulp-free version, strain the mixture before adding cold water.
- Use frozen blueberries for a naturally chilled drink.
- Adjust sweetness by adding more or less sugar, honey, or agave.
