Ingredients
6 cups water
2 tablespoons loose leaf black tea or 6 tea bags
1/4 cup maple syrup
1 large lemon
1 large lime (plus more for garnish, optional)
1 can club soda or sparkling water

Instructions
- In a medium pot, bring water to a boil. Remove from heat, add tea, stir, and steep until cooled or lukewarm.
- Strain into a large pitcher to remove tea leaves or bags.
- Stir in maple syrup. Squeeze juice of lemon and lime into the tea, then drop in citrus peels.
- Let sit for 10 minutes, then discard peels to avoid bitterness.
- Refrigerate until chilled or ready to serve.
- Before serving, add ice and club soda. Stir and garnish with lime slices if desired.
