Grilled Cheese Roll Ups are a fun and easy twist on the classic grilled cheese sandwich. Perfectly crisp on the outside and gooey on the inside, they make a great snack, lunch, or party appetizer.

  • Total Time: 10 minutes
  • Yield: 8 roll ups

Ingredients

8 slices white bread, crusts removed

8 slices sharp cheddar cheese (or Monterey Jack, Colby, or Swiss)

Melted butter, as needed

Instructions

  1. Use a rolling pin to flatten each slice of white bread.
  2. Place one slice of cheese (or 2-3 tablespoons of grated cheese) on each piece of bread.
  3. Roll up the bread and cheese tightly and secure with a toothpick.
  4. Brush or roll each bread roll in melted butter.
  5. Place seam side down in a pan over medium heat.
  6. Cook, turning with tongs, until all sides are golden brown and the cheese is melted.

Notes

  • Use fresh, soft bread to prevent cracking while rolling.
  • To reheat, use a skillet or air fryer for best texture.
  • Add proteins or spices to customize the flavor.
  • Can be prepared ahead and stored in the fridge before cooking.
