Ingredients
1 tablespoon olive oil
1½ pounds sirloin steak, cut into bite-size pieces (or use strip loin, tenderloin, rib eye)
½ teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
½ teaspoon black pepper (adjust to taste)
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over high heat.
- Add steak pieces in a single layer and season with salt and pepper.
- Let them sear without stirring for about 2 minutes, then stir and cook another 2 minutes until golden brown. Work in batches if needed.
- Transfer steak to a plate. Lower heat to medium and add butter to the same skillet.
- Once butter is melted, add minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Return the steak to the skillet and toss to coat well in the garlic butter sauce.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
- Use different cuts like ribeye or tenderloin for more tenderness.
- Add mushrooms or vegetables like bell peppers for variation.
- Marinate ahead of time for deeper flavor.
- Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
- Reheat gently in a skillet to maintain texture.
