Ingredients

1 tablespoon olive oil

pounds sirloin steak, cut into bite-size pieces (or use strip loin, tenderloin, rib eye)

½ teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)

½ teaspoon black pepper (adjust to taste)

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes

1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over high heat.
  2. Add steak pieces in a single layer and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Let them sear without stirring for about 2 minutes, then stir and cook another 2 minutes until golden brown. Work in batches if needed.
  4. Transfer steak to a plate. Lower heat to medium and add butter to the same skillet.
  5. Once butter is melted, add minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  6. Return the steak to the skillet and toss to coat well in the garlic butter sauce.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
