- 1 box Red Lobster biscuit mix (approximately 15 ounces)
- 1 package (16 oz) hot sausage
- 1 block (8 oz) sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 block (8 oz) pepper jack cheese, shredded
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure it reaches the right temperature for baking the sausage balls evenly.
- Combine biscuit mix and sausage: In a large mixing bowl, break up and mix the biscuit mix thoroughly with the hot sausage until well incorporated.
- Add cheeses: Shred both the sharp cheddar and pepper jack cheese blocks, then add the shredded cheeses into the sausage and biscuit mixture. Mix everything together thoroughly until evenly combined.
- Form sausage balls: Line two baking sheets with parchment paper. Roll the mixture into 1-inch diameter balls and place them spaced apart on the baking sheets to allow even cooking.
- Bake and drain: Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through. After baking, transfer the sausage balls onto paper towels to absorb excess oil and cool slightly before serving.
