Ingredients
Main Ingredients
- 1 (3.4 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix
- 1 ½ cups eggnog
- ¼ cup bourbon (Jim Beam recommended)
- ¼ cup Fireball cinnamon whiskey
- ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon, plus more for garnish
- ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg, plus more for garnish
- 2 (8 ounce) containers whipped topping, thawed (divided use)
Instructions
- Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the instant vanilla pudding mix, eggnog, bourbon, Fireball cinnamon whiskey, ground cinnamon, and ground nutmeg for about 2 minutes until the mixture starts to thicken slightly.
- Add Whipped Topping: Fold in one 8-ounce container of the thawed whipped topping gently to keep the mixture light and airy. Then refrigerate the mixture for 5 minutes to allow it to set slightly.
- Prepare Cups: Arrange 27 (2-ounce) plastic cups or similar small serving containers on a sheet tray. Spoon approximately 3 tablespoons of the pudding mixture into each cup. Cover the cups with their lids or plastic wrap, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour to chill and firm up.
- Garnish and Serve: Using a piping bag or spoon, pipe or spoon the remaining whipped topping onto each pudding shot. Sprinkle additional ground cinnamon and nutmeg on top for garnish. Keep the shots chilled until ready to serve.
Notes
- Use plastic 2-ounce party cups for easy serving and portion control.
- Ensure whipped topping is thawed completely for smooth folding.
- Refrigerate the pudding shots for at least an hour to set properly before serving.
- Adjust the amount of bourbon and Fireball to taste if you prefer a stronger or milder alcohol flavor.
- These pudding shots are best served chilled and consumed within a day.
