1/2 lb fresh ginger, chopped (no need to peel)
1 medium root turmeric, chopped
Pinch of cayenne pepper
1/2 cup coconut water or regular water
Instructions
- Wash all produce thoroughly.
- Peel the orange and lemons. Chop the ginger and turmeric into chunks.

- If using a blender, combine orange, lemon, ginger, turmeric, cayenne, and water. Blend until smooth.
- Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve, nut milk bag, or cheesecloth to remove pulp.
- Pour the juice into small bottles or a large container and store in the fridge. Shake before drinking.

- Use black pepper with turmeric to enhance absorption.
- Sweeten with fruit like pineapple or a little maple syrup if desired.
- Store in the fridge for up to 1 week or freeze for up to 3 months (use an ice cube tray for portioning).
- Add to smoothies or mix with sparkling water if too strong.
- Use a fine strainer for a smoother shot or consume with pulp for added fiber.
