Ingredients
Dough and Coating:
- 1 can refrigerated biscuits (refrigerated)
- ⅓ cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 3 tablespoons butter (melted)
Glaze:
- 1 cup powdered sugar (sifted)
- 2 tablespoons butter (melted)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons milk
Instructions
- Preheat and Prepare Pan: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8 inch baking pan to prevent sticking.
- Cut Biscuit Dough: Cut each biscuit dough piece into 4 smaller pieces and set aside these bite-sized portions.
- Mix Cinnamon Sugar: In a medium bowl, combine ⅓ cup sugar and 1 tablespoon cinnamon thoroughly to create the coating mixture.
- Coat Dough Bites: Dip each dough piece into the cinnamon sugar mixture, making sure they are evenly coated, then arrange them closely together in the greased pan.
- Drizzle Butter and Bake: Drizzle 3 tablespoons of melted butter evenly over the coated dough bites, then bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Prepare the Glaze: While baking, mix 2 tablespoons melted butter with 1 teaspoon vanilla extract in a large bowl until well combined. Then add 1 cup sifted powdered sugar and 2 tablespoons milk, stirring until smooth to form the glaze.
- Glaze and Finish Baking: When the cinnamon roll bites are done baking, remove the pan from the oven and immediately pour the glaze evenly over them.
- Bake with Glaze: Return the pan to the oven for an additional 10 minutes to set the glaze and finish baking the bites to perfection.
- Cool and Serve: Allow the cinnamon roll bites to cool completely before serving so the glaze firms up slightly for the best texture and flavor.
Notes
- For best results, use refrigerated biscuit dough as specified for the right texture and convenience.
- You can substitute milk with cream or a non-dairy alternative for the glaze if preferred.
- Be sure not to overcrowd the pan so the dough cooks evenly and puffs nicely.
- Serve warm for a gooey experience, or store leftovers in an airtight container and reheat gently before serving.
- Adding chopped nuts or raisins to the cinnamon sugar coating can add extra texture and flavor.
