Ingredients
Crescent Rolls
- 2 – 8 oz cans refrigerated crescent rolls
Filling
- 8 pieces mozzarella string cheese, halved across to make 2 short sticks each
Garlic Herb Butter
- 6 Tbsp salted butter, melted
- 4-5 cloves garlic, grated or finely minced
- 1 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp dried parsley
- 1/2 tsp dried basil
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper and set it aside to prepare for baking.
- Prepare Garlic Herb Butter: In a small bowl, thoroughly combine the melted salted butter with grated garlic, Italian seasoning, dried parsley, and dried basil to create a flavorful garlic herb butter mixture.
- Assemble Rolls: Unroll the refrigerated crescent rolls and separate them into individual triangular pieces. Brush each triangle generously with the garlic butter mixture, reserving some for brushing on top later. Place a halved mozzarella string cheese stick at the widest end of each triangle, then carefully roll the dough up toward the point, tucking in the edges to seal the cheese inside.
- Final Touch and Bake: Arrange the assembled rolls on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with the remaining garlic butter mixture to add extra flavor and aid browning. Bake the rolls in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until they are lightly golden brown and the cheese is melted and gooey inside.
Notes
- For extra flavor, sprinkle a little grated Parmesan cheese on top before baking.
- If fresh garlic is not available, substitute with 1 tsp garlic powder.
- Use low-fat mozzarella string cheese to reduce fat content.
- Serve warm for the best melty cheese experience.
- Leftovers can be reheated in the oven to restore crispness.
