Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1 tbsp olive oil
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 packet taco seasoning (or homemade seasoning)
1/2 cup beef broth (or chicken/vegetable broth)
4 large flour tortillas
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup sour cream
1 medium tomato, diced
1/2 cup shredded lettuce
Optional toppings: salsa, guacamole or avocado slices, jalapeños
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, sauté until fragrant.
- Add ground beef and cook, breaking it apart, until browned.
- Stir in taco seasoning and broth. Simmer 3–5 minutes until liquid is absorbed and beef is well seasoned.
- Warm tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave for 20–30 seconds until soft.
- Assemble wraps by adding beef mixture to the center of each tortilla. Top with shredded cheese, sour cream, diced tomatoes, and lettuce.
- Fold in the sides of the tortilla and roll tightly.
- Serve immediately with optional toppings like salsa, guacamole, or jalapeños.
Notes
- Store cooked beef mixture separately in the fridge for up to 4 days.
- Freeze beef filling for up to 2 months; thaw and reheat before using.
- Assembled wraps are best eaten fresh.
- Use whole wheat, spinach, or gluten-free tortillas as alternatives.
- Add bell peppers, corn, or rice for extra flavor and heartiness.
