Cheese Bombs are warm, gooey bites of cheddar cheese wrapped in fluffy biscuit dough and seasoned with garlic butter, Italian herbs, and Parmesan cheese. Perfect as an appetizer or snack, these savory treats are quick to make and always a crowd-pleaser.

  • Total Time: 18 minutes
  • Yield: 16 servings

Ingredients

Biscuit Bombs

  • 16.3 ounce can Grands style biscuits
  • 16 cubes cheddar cheese (3/4″ x 3/4″)
  • Cooking spray

Garlic Butter Topping

  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit to prepare for baking the cheese bombs.
  2. Prepare the biscuits: Carefully cut each biscuit in half crosswise using a serrated knife, creating smaller rounds ready to be filled.
  3. Arrange biscuits on baking sheet: Lightly coat a baking sheet with cooking spray and lay the biscuit halves flat on it.
  4. Add cheese cubes: Place a cheddar cheese cube in the center of each biscuit half to ensure melty goodness inside.
  5. Seal the biscuits: Fold the biscuit dough around the cheese cubes, pinching all seams tightly to prevent the cheese from oozing out during baking.
  6. Position biscuits for baking: Place each sealed biscuit seam side down on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart. If necessary, plan to bake in batches.
  7. Make garlic butter: Combine butter, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning in a small microwave-safe bowl and microwave until the butter is fully melted.
  8. Apply garlic butter and Parmesan: Brush 3 tablespoons of the garlic butter over the tops of the sealed biscuits, then sprinkle evenly with grated Parmesan cheese.
  9. Reserve butter: Save the remaining 1 tablespoon of garlic butter for after baking.
  10. Bake the cheese bombs: Bake the biscuits in the preheated oven for 10 minutes or until they are lightly browned. Take care not to overbake, as the cheese may leak out.
  11. Finish and serve: Once baked, brush the reserved garlic butter over the tops of the cheese bombs, sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley, and serve immediately while warm and melty.

Notes

  • Use fresh parsley for the best flavor and vibrant color as a garnish.
  • Do not overbake to prevent cheese leakage and maintain a soft, fluffy biscuit texture.
  • Baking time may vary slightly based on your oven; check for a light golden brown color.
  • For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of crushed red pepper flakes to the garlic butter mixture.
  • Serve these cheese bombs immediately for best taste and texture.
