Ingredients
Biscuit Bombs
- 16.3 ounce can Grands style biscuits
- 16 cubes cheddar cheese (3/4″ x 3/4″)
- Cooking spray
Garlic Butter Topping
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit to prepare for baking the cheese bombs.
- Prepare the biscuits: Carefully cut each biscuit in half crosswise using a serrated knife, creating smaller rounds ready to be filled.
- Arrange biscuits on baking sheet: Lightly coat a baking sheet with cooking spray and lay the biscuit halves flat on it.
- Add cheese cubes: Place a cheddar cheese cube in the center of each biscuit half to ensure melty goodness inside.
- Seal the biscuits: Fold the biscuit dough around the cheese cubes, pinching all seams tightly to prevent the cheese from oozing out during baking.
- Position biscuits for baking: Place each sealed biscuit seam side down on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart. If necessary, plan to bake in batches.
- Make garlic butter: Combine butter, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning in a small microwave-safe bowl and microwave until the butter is fully melted.
- Apply garlic butter and Parmesan: Brush 3 tablespoons of the garlic butter over the tops of the sealed biscuits, then sprinkle evenly with grated Parmesan cheese.
- Reserve butter: Save the remaining 1 tablespoon of garlic butter for after baking.
- Bake the cheese bombs: Bake the biscuits in the preheated oven for 10 minutes or until they are lightly browned. Take care not to overbake, as the cheese may leak out.
- Finish and serve: Once baked, brush the reserved garlic butter over the tops of the cheese bombs, sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley, and serve immediately while warm and melty.
Notes
- Use fresh parsley for the best flavor and vibrant color as a garnish.
- Do not overbake to prevent cheese leakage and maintain a soft, fluffy biscuit texture.
- Baking time may vary slightly based on your oven; check for a light golden brown color.
- For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of crushed red pepper flakes to the garlic butter mixture.
- Serve these cheese bombs immediately for best taste and texture.
