Dip Ingredients
- 8 ounces full-fat cream cheese, room temperature
- 8 ounces full-fat sour cream, room temperature
- 1 cup chopped pepperoncinis
- 1/4 cup thinly sliced green onion, plus more for garnish
- 2 tablespoons sliced chives, plus more for garnish
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 ounces shredded mozzarella, divided
- 4 ounces shredded Parmesan cheese
- Kosher salt, to taste
- Fresh cracked black pepper, to taste
To Serve
- Sliced French baguette or crispy crostini
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Heat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking the dip.
- Mix Ingredients: In a bowl, combine the room temperature cream cheese and sour cream with chopped pepperoncinis, sliced green onions, chives, minced garlic, half of the shredded mozzarella, shredded Parmesan, and season with kosher salt and freshly cracked black pepper. Stir thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated into a smooth mixture.
- Assemble Dip: Transfer the mixture into an 8×8 inch baking dish or a medium-sized cast iron skillet. Spread the mixture evenly across the surface. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese evenly on top to create a cheesy crust.
- Bake the Dip: Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes until the dip is bubbly and heated through.
- Broil for Golden Top: Switch the oven to broil and cook the dip for an additional 1-2 minutes or until the mozzarella on top turns a dark golden brown. Watch carefully to prevent burning.
- Garnish and Serve: Remove from oven, garnish the baked dip with additional green onions and chives. Serve immediately with sliced French baguette or crunchy crostini for dipping.

Notes
- Ensure cream cheese and sour cream are at room temperature to achieve a smooth, creamy dip without lumps.
- Adjust the amount of pepperoncinis to control the level of heat and tanginess in the dip.
- Use a cast iron skillet if you want to take the dish directly from oven to table for a rustic presentation.
- Watch carefully during broiling as cheese can quickly go from golden to burnt.
- Serve warm for best flavor and texture; leftovers can be reheated in the oven to maintain cheesiness.
- Pair with crunchy baguette slices or your favorite chips for dipping.
