Ingredients
1 (12-count) package Hawaiian rolls
1 can apple pie filling, roughly chopped
2 packets apple cider powdered drink mix (such as Alpine)
5 tablespoons butter, melted (divided)
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet.
- Separate Hawaiian rolls. Cut a 1/2-inch slit in each roll and make a pocket.
- In a bowl, combine chopped apple pie filling with 1 packet of cider mix. Fill each roll with about 1 tablespoon of the mixture.
- Brush rolls with 4 tablespoons of melted butter and arrange on prepared baking sheet.
- Bake 12–14 minutes until lightly golden.
- Mix remaining cider packet, sugar, and cinnamon in a shallow dish. Melt remaining 1 tablespoon butter separately.
- Brush baked rolls with melted butter, then roll in sugar mixture to coat.
- Serve warm or at room temperature.
Notes
- Air fry at 350°F for 8–10 minutes for a quicker option.
- Drizzle with cream cheese glaze or caramel for extra indulgence.
- Try other fillings like cherry, peach, or pumpkin.
- Mix chopped nuts into the filling for crunch.
- Best enjoyed warm, but store leftovers in an airtight container.
