Ingredients
4 medium to large russet potatoes, sliced into 1/2-inch sticks
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1 teaspoon paprika (sweet, smoked, or hot)
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
4 garlic cloves, minced or grated
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Minced fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Soak potato sticks in cold water for 30 minutes. Drain and pat very dry.
- In a large bowl, combine olive oil, salt, and paprika. Toss potatoes in the mixture to coat evenly.
- Preheat air fryer to 380°F. Place fries in a single layer in the basket and air fry for 10–12 minutes. Toss and air fry another 8–12 minutes until golden and crispy.
- While fries cook, melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add garlic and cook for 1–2 minutes, being careful not to burn it.
- Place cooked fries in a large bowl, drizzle with garlic butter, and toss to coat. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and parsley, tossing again to combine.
- Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
- Soaking potatoes removes starch for crispier fries.
- Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket for best results.
- Use freshly grated Parmesan for optimal flavor.
- Can substitute parsley with rosemary or chives for variety.
